Kady is one of the most instinctively gifted young filmmakers I have worked with in over two decades of teaching. She doesn’t just point a camera — she thinks in images. Her documentary work on The James Williams Story showed a maturity of storytelling that I rarely see at any level, let alone from a high school student. She will go very far.

During her internship with us, Kady consistently impressed the entire team. She arrived on set knowing her equipment, asked smart questions, and contributed ideas that made their way into the final cut. That almost never happens with interns. She has a professional work ethic and a natural eye for composition that you simply cannot teach.

Kady led our broadcast team with a calm authority that students twice her age would envy. As Executive Producer she kept every production on schedule, mentored younger students without being asked, and never once accepted “good enough” when “great” was still on the table. The Emmy wins we earned under her leadership were no accident.

I had the privilege of watching Kady work during the USC summer intensive, and she stood out from day one. Her ability to manage a crew, adapt when things went sideways, and still deliver beautiful frames under pressure is a skill set most people develop over years of professional experience. She’s already there. Keep an eye on this one.

We brought Kady on to assist with a multi-camera corporate shoot and by the end of the first day she was calling out shot suggestions that our seasoned crew was using. Her live event experience showed — she reads a room quickly, anticipates the moment before it happens, and never misses it. She’s the kind of young talent you hire and don’t let go.
